Guide · Website cost

What a website costs in Dubai.

Published guides from Dubai web agencies put a small business website in the low thousands of dirhams, and a custom corporate site or a large online store far higher. The spread is wide because the cost follows the work: page types, languages, custom design, ecommerce, integrations and upkeep. The ranges below are quoted from their publishers, with links and the date we read them.

Published market ranges, as their publishers wrote them

These are market figures published by UAE web agencies about their own market, not our prices. They are marketing pages, not independent surveys, and each agency defines a basic or a custom site its own way. Read them as a map of the market.

01 · The spread

Why the published ranges disagree

One agency calls a five page template a basic website. Another means a custom designed site with a content system. Both publish a range for it, and the ranges barely overlap. The figures are honest about their own offer, and they describe different products.

So the useful question is not the average. It is which of the drivers below your site actually needs.

02 · Design

Template or custom design

A template gives you a proven layout and someone else’s look. Custom design starts from your brand: type, grid, imagery and motion made for you, then built as a small system of page types. The number of page types moves the cost more than the number of pages.

Cinematic work, such as scroll films rendered in 3D, sits at the far end of custom and is scoped separately.

03 · Arabic

A second language is a second site

A bilingual Arabic and English site needs its own copy, a right to left layout, Arabic type that reads well on a phone and testing in both directions. Of the guides above, Ron Studios puts a number on it: bilingual work typically adds 20 to 35 percent to the project budget.

Machine translation lowers that figure and reads like machine translation. For buyers who search in Arabic, the Arabic pages need to be written, not converted.

04 · Ecommerce

A store costs what its catalogue and checkout demand

Catalogue size, product options, payment in dirhams, shipping rules, VAT invoices and stock sync all add scope. The platform matters too, and Lucidly prices Shopify, WooCommerce and custom stores as separate bands for that reason.

05 · Integrations and AI

Every connection is its own small project

A CRM, a booking engine, the WhatsApp Business API, a property portal feed or an AI assistant each needs setup, testing and a plan for when the other side changes. AI features also carry running costs for model usage, which belong in the quote as their own line.

06 · After launch

Hosting, care and change

Hosting, the domain, security updates and small changes continue after launch. Guides quote them per year or per month, and what a maintenance plan includes varies as much as the build price. Ask for it in writing.

07 · The quote

What a good website quote lists

A quote you can compare names the page types and how many of each, the languages, who writes the copy, the content system, every integration, the search and AI visibility work included, the hosting, and what support costs after launch. It also states the timeline and the payment stages.

If two quotes do not list the same things, they are not quoting the same website. Ask each agency to fill the same list before you compare the totals.

08 · Our pricing

How Althea Growth prices a website

We do not publish prices, and the ranges above are not ours. A project is scoped on a short call and priced once in a written proposal with a fixed scope and timeline, paid in stages. Ongoing work runs month to month with 30 days' notice, with no hidden line items.

Questions, answered.

Why do two quotes for the same website differ so much?

They usually describe different sites. Compare the page types, the languages, whether the design is custom, what is integrated and what happens after launch. A quote that leaves these out is not cheaper, only vaguer.

Does a bilingual Arabic and English site cost more?

Yes, because it is more work: a second set of copy, a right to left layout and testing in both languages. The guides above treat it as an addition to the project, not a switch.

What keeps costing after the site is live?

Hosting, the domain, updates, security and changes. Some agencies bundle them in a monthly plan and some charge per request. Ask what is included before you compare.

What does Althea Growth charge for a website?

We do not publish prices. Every project is scoped on a short call and priced once in a written proposal with a fixed scope and timeline, paid in stages.

How long does it take to build a website in Dubai?

It follows the same drivers as the cost: page types, languages, custom design, ecommerce and integrations. Content is often the slowest part, so ask who writes it and when it is due. A good proposal states the timeline next to the scope.

Is a template website enough for a small business?

Often, yes. A template site is fast and fine when the site only has to inform and collect enquiries. Custom design pays off when the site itself has to justify a premium price, as it does for developers, hotels and luxury brands.
